EMC Guide
1. About EMC
EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) is an important electromagnetic performance characteristic of electronic devices. It primarily encompasses two aspects: the device does not cause significant electromagnetic interference to surrounding equipment, and it can operate normally in a given electromagnetic environment.
This product has been evaluated for compliance with relevant safety and EMC standards. The product safety standards primarily include the EN/IEC 62109 series and EN/IEC 62477-1, among others. The main EMC-related standards include the ETSI EN 301 489 series and EN IEC 61000-6 series. These standards specify requirements for the device in areas such as product safety, electromagnetic emissions, and electromagnetic immunity.
Under normal operating conditions, all electrically powered devices generate weak electromagnetic fields. During operation, energy storage devices may cause minor interference to nearby radio equipment that relies on antennas to receive signals, such as slight static noise from a radio. This is a normal EMC phenomenon that may occur during device operation.
2. Phenomena
If you encounter the following situations during use, they may be related to EMC:
Shortwave radios, broadcast radios, or similar devices in your home that previously received signals normally may experience intermittent sound or slight static noise after the energy storage device is installed.
Devices that are typically not significantly affected:
| Device Type | Description |
|---|---|
| The device's own wireless communication | The micro-storage system's built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G, and other communication functions operate normally and are not affected. If you experience issues such as unstable App connectivity, please contact after-sales support for troubleshooting. |
| Other common electronic devices | Common digital devices such as Wi-Fi routers, computers, and smartphones are not affected and can be used normally. |
3. If You Encounter Related Phenomena, Here's What You Can Do
If you experience the above phenomena, try the following steps in order:
① Reduce interference from the energy storage device side
- Bundle the AC and PV cables of the energy storage device together as much as possible, shorten cable runs, and avoid loops;
- Install ferrite cores on the cables (suppression components fitted around cables that can help reduce certain high-frequency interference);
- Move radios and other devices away from the energy storage device and power cables, or adjust the antenna position.
② Filter signals on the power line (terminal treatment)
If the interference is transmitted through the power line, you can install a power EMI filter at the power input of the affected device (a small inline device that filters electromagnetic signals on the line).
4. Notes and Remarks
The above methods can be used for preliminary troubleshooting and mitigation. If the problem persists after these measures, please contact after-sales support for further troubleshooting by professional personnel.
